Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using HomeschoolAI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and HomeschoolAI.

2. Beta Service

HomeschoolAI is currently in private beta. The service is provided "as is" and may change substantially. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We may pause access or terminate the beta at any time with reasonable notice. Do not use this service as the sole record of your child's educational progress — maintain your own records.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of any students you add to the platform
• The information you provide is accurate
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You will keep your login credentials secure and not share them

Accounts are accessed by invitation only during the beta period. Invite codes are single-use and non-transferable.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform
• Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or violates any third-party rights
• Share your account with people outside your immediate family
• Use the AI tutor to circumvent homework or assessments in any institutional context

5. AI Disclaimer

HomeschoolAI uses Google Gemini to power tutoring, grading, and content generation. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. They are provided as a teaching aid, not as authoritative educational guidance. Do not rely solely on AI-generated grades or feedback. Always review results with your child. HomeschoolAI is not a licensed educational institution and does not provide accredited instruction.

6. Your Data & Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload, including homework images and curriculum text. By uploading content, you grant HomeschoolAI a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your educational materials.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeschoolAI and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, errors in AI output, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which during the free beta is $0).

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without prior notice. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections 5, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HomeschoolAI operates. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
